What makes excellent equestrian wear?
Style, cut, quality fabric and excellent workmanship are the keys to having great equestrian wear, says Carolyn Brace of Elegant Equestrian Outfitters.
“I’m often asked what makes a quality garment.... one that you can be proud of,” she says,” and really it all comes down to those four basic elements.
“You can have the most expensive fabrics, but if you don’t combine that with excellent style and cut, then you are nowhere.
“And of course, excellent workmanship is paramount to providing that finish you will love.”
Carolyn should know. She has worked for 30 years in the fashion world, initially with some of Australia’s leading designers in all types of women’s wear - from elegant evening wear to casual
fun attire.
For the last decade and a half, she has concentrated her considerable skills on providing high quality garments for the equestrian world – everything shirts and stocks to cutaways, double vent jackets and classic and mini tails.
“We focus on providing the highest quality at competitive prices,” she says.
“We hand-make every garment to a quality design that fits you well, so as soon as you put it on, you think to yourself: ‘Hey, this looks great. I feel good in it.’
“At the same time you can wear it often and its remains looking very stylish.
